The Beginning of The End of Freedom

The Patriot Act is just the first of its kind to strip freedom from US citizens.  If this thing is not stopped there will be more like it, giving even more and bolder powers to the government and law enforcement agencies.  Bush is using fear tactics to convince people to approve the extension of the Patriot Act.  If it was so damned good then why is it in jeopardy of being discontinued?  It is baaaaad news, period!  We will find another way to fight terrorism.  I voted for Bush and I now know he is a moron, albeit not as big a moron as Kerry and not as bad a liar as Gore (not even close).  In fact I think Bush is probably a pretty honest dude, but he is kind of stupid.  The Patriot Act is just taking rights from the many to combat the few.  It is not necessary.  It only makes the job of law enforcement easier.  The real problem is The Patriot Act opens the door for serious abuse by law enforcement, by removing certain rights from the common man to give law enforcement more power.

Some say, "If you're not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about."  That is pure propoganda.  While the statement is true so long as you are innocent until proven guilty.  Look at how many convicted criminals are being released from prison because they were falsely convicted, using DNA testing.  It's just a fact that innocent people are abused by law enforcement.  That is why the Patriot Act is bad news and just the first of its kind if we do nothing to educate ourselves of its implications and stop it before it gains popularity.

Another reason to boycott products "Made In China" is the current snubbing by the Chinese Government to adjust their currency valuation, as requested by the US Government. You like buying cheap products made in China? Keep it up and you will create a Communist economic superpower, which will in turn become a larger military power than they are now. Even possibly a military superpower. When that happens, our freedom and the American way of life will be in jeopardy. Read NY Times article. Also, reprinted in the Continuation below...

The Liberal Left Strikes Again

I never knew the left wing could be so..., well left.  I read an article this morning about how the story of Saddam Hussein's capture was fabricated.  Link: http://www.counterpunch.org/whitney03112005.html  Supposedly, one of the Marines involved in Saddam's capture is telling a different story.  That Saddam was not in a hole in the ground but rather on his feet in a house; and only after a fierce battle that left one Marine dead.

I would like to see the proof.  What is the dead Marine's name?  What do the other 19 Marines involved have to say?
